Professional Services Consultant - RSA Adaptive Authentication Enterprise Security Software Implementation

Function description

The Practice Consultant is a customer-facing technical member of RSA Consumer Solutions Professional Services team. The ideal candidate should be an enthusiastic technology evangelist who truly enjoys working in a dynamic collaborative team environment.. The Practice Consultant responsibility within projects may include analyzing requirements, implementation, customization, integration and documentation for the customer. The Practice Consultant works closely with sales, project managers, engineering, CTO office, other TS personnel, and the customer to ensure a smooth implementation and transition from start-up to integration/production mode. Key responsibilities include the successful execution of all consulting engagements, which encompass evaluating customers' strategic business issues, identifying requirements, creating business case justifications, and proposing appropriate enterprise solutions. Capable of working with minimal supervision. Knowledgeable of industry best practices in the implementation of complex technical solutions. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills. This position will require travel throughout the United States.

This person primarily engages with the business and technical staff of the customers of RSA solutions and also works closely with RSA's engineering group in a fast paced, deadline and results oriented environment. The candidate should have a genuine enthusiasm for implementing cutting-edge technology, ensuring customer satisfaction and quality product performance.

Tasks

# Installation and configuration of enterprise web software

# Coordination with customer: business managers, security / compliance managers, web developers, database administrators and IT administrators

# Quality validation of completed installations.

# Customer relationship and project management elements

# Provide punctual, on-site installation, training, and customization services

# Provide product training via phone and Webex

# Some outside-normal-hours visits as necessary

# Logging all issues into databases

# Proactive following-up on all issues and visits

# Analysis and debugging of technical issues

# Provide technical documentation and knowledge base updates

Profile

* Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in a technical discipline (Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems/Science, Mathematics, etc.) or equivalent experience

* 5 years experience in hands-on implementation of enterprise level web software.

* 3+ years of demonstrated success in customer-facing engagements/ activities.

* Positive, can-and-will-do, team player attitude.

* Resourceful and self-sufficient, ability to work independently, finding creative solutions and engaging resources as needed to complete implementations.

* Highly detail oriented and proven ability to find root cause of system problems.

* Ability to create a positive customer experience through effective communication and expectations management.

* Ability to quickly understand, internalize and disseminate new concepts and technologies.

* Ability to clearly relay technical knowledge to both technical and non-technical people, written and verbally.

* Ability to manage multiple, concurrent tasks.

* Systems experience with Windows and Unix or Linux .

* Software development experience desired with two or more of: Web services/SOAP, XML, Java, ASP, javascript, .NET.

* Administration experience desired with one or more of the following: Apache, Tomcat, IIS, WebSphere, BEA Weblogic, Servlet Exec, Oracle, DB2 UDB, MS*SQL Server.

* Working knowledge of enterprise level networking (TCP/IP, VPNs, SFTP, Proxy, Firewalls).

* Willing to travel (up to 40%).

Additional Beneficial Experiences:


* Work experience with financial institutions, specifically internet banking / finance systems.

* Experience with voice, speech or telephony (VUI design/ASR/PBX/ACD/T1/ISDN PRI/IVR/VXML).

* Certifications in Java development, Oracle DBA, or Project Management.

* Work experience in secure mission-critical data center environments

* Any type of technology consulting
