3rd Level System Administrator

Function description

This is a full-time permanent position responsible for ensuring a number of aspects of the networked computing environment are maintained and operational.

Profile

Skills:
Server installation and support, Windows and Linux Server administration, LAN/WAN, Security

* 3+ years experience in Microsoft Windows Operating System administration and support experience with internet related system administration and technologies
* 3+ years experience in Linux Operating System administration and support
* experience with internet related system administration and technologies (load balancing, virtualization, web server, dns server, mail server, ...)
* support company-wide LAN/WAN
* knowledge of system scripting (VBS, bash, perl, ...)
* knowledge of MSSQL administration
* knowledge of LAMP administration
* knowledge of Internet protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, stp, pop/imap, http, ftp)
* knowledge in IT security (firewall, proxy, VPN)
* knowledge of VMware ESX is an asset
* knowledge of Navision Administration is an asset
* provide user support and training
* troubleshoot hardware and software issues
* good communication skills
* a strong customer focus
* excellent problem solving skills
* able to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
* excellent judgment, especially when to escalate issues for resolution
* MCP, MCSE or MCSA is an asset
* driving license
* bachelor's degree or equivalent in experience
* fluent in french, good in english and dutch is an asset
