Information Architect & Usability Consultant

Function description

In your daily work you will be creating Information Architecture, Wireframes (site diagrams and user interface schematics) and developing controlled vocabularies, taxonomies. For this you will collaborate with application development teams to guide IA development and content management implementation.

You will work with internal and external organizations to understand business and user requirements for information resources. You will assist to CMS selection and integration. You will design search interfaces and normalize metadata for digital library projects. Then you'll formulate workflow strategy, web site publication policies and assist in writing documentation and guidelines to support creation of web sites.

You will be part of our "strategic cell". You will work for the management, sales team and our account & project managers.

You will be depended on to provide Information Architecture and Interaction Design for internal and external presentations in the preparation phase. Then during the implement process you will be in charge of the Classification & Taxonomy Development, Usability Testing & Analysis and the Development of key usability metrics and processes.

You are an expert about the Web and everything that is possible today, you live and breethe Internet, you dream about web interfaces.

Profile

* You are proficient in Information Architecture & Interaction Design
* You have an excellent knowledge of information science and some knowledge of digital design
* You can express yourself using Microsoft Visio, Powerpoint, and vector editing software like Adobe Illustrator and Acrobat
* You have some ability to research, understand e-business objectives and organize yourself
* You are analytic and have the ability to work conceptually
* You are curious about information -- how people find it, use it, and produce it
* You have some talent to write about your projects and present them to customers
* You work well in a team, have the necessary interpersonal skills and are willing to work under the guidance of our Strategy Director
* You are interested by the artifacts that people use to communicate and express themselves, from clay tablets to PDA's
* Your mother tongue is french or flemmish and you speak english.
