Business Unit Director

Introduction

Our client is an internationally successful biotech group. For several decades it has been a worldwide supplier of innovative and reliable products and services to the Life Science industry. The company has developed a broad technological platform, which is organized in separate business units, subsidiaries and production facilities. In order to integrate a new acquisition it is looking for a (m/f) Business Unit Director

Function description

You will organize every aspect of the integration of this new acquisition, an organization of approximately 80 employees. Following careful analysis, the sales and production expertise will be merged. Organizational and business aspects will be your first priorities. Integrating the new organization into the group culture, approach and team spirit will be crucial to success. After the initial period, you will set up and implement your business plan in line with the strategy defined by headquarters. You will function as the Country Manager of this new entity, be a member of the Executive Committee and report to the CEO of the company. This role will require travel flexibility.

Profile

You will have a proven track record in an executive role (commercial, production, etc.) in the biotech or pharmaceutical field, preferably in an international environment. Experience with mergers and acquisitions and their organizational aspects is desirable. You will be willing to relocate to the UK or USA for several years. You are strongly goal and delivery oriented.
