
Acting as an Account Manager for Backup, Recovery and Archiving Solutions (BURA) and IP of EMC portfolio in BeLux, you will be responsible for Sales of software driven projects.
You must be able to ensure the continuity of existing business while leveraging new relationships with partners and customers. An important part of this job is to develop new business in this area and acting as the EMC Specialized Sales for partners, customers and EMC Classic colleagues. This role calls for a strong Solutions Sales person, able to interface up to CIO/CFO Level, autonomously working the deals/relationships, while providing clear and correct visibility.
- Sell to medium or large accounts in collaboration with EMC’s business partners in challenging and competitive situations, promoting EMC value based on its highly complex and sophisticated BURA/IP products, services, applications, software and systems.
- Develop and maintain sales or account plans, working with management to define goals, strategies and resources.
- Identify, evaluate and exploit potential new business opportunities.
- Establish and develop customer commitment to EMC.
- Ensure successful ordering, delivery and installation of products, services, applications and solutions.
- Develop strong relationships that drive account penetration.
- Acquire knowledge of business processes, business objectives and applications of assigned customer(s).
- Work very closely with customer organization to participate at the beginning of project elaboration to generate more business.
- Prepare, document and validate software and infrastructure proposals and implementation plans for the customer.
- Develop argumentation to demonstrate the advantages of the proposed solution to the business challenges.
- Ability to position our solutions against competitive offerings
- Report success stories and best practices
- Have minimum 5 years of experience in IT Sales
- Demonstrated sales track record in a competitive IT environment
- Knowledge of geographic selling area (BeLux); relevant industry account experience
- Experience in selling/marketing value added BURA/IP products will be an asset
- Understanding and ability to present products to technical/engineering, marketing and management audiences
- Capable to show what products can do for a customer – solution selling
- Focus on customer satisfaction
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Team spirit and the ability to work independently
- Able to inspire rapport, trust and confidence with customers and co-workers
- Good organizational and time management skills
- A strong sense of urgency
- Excellent written and verbal communication in Dutch/French/English
