Introduction

Based in Walloon Brabant, our client is part of a leading worldwide pharmaceutical company.

Function description

- Establishing a support and service organization for EMEA
- Working with customers to develop a strategic direction for process improvement projects - allocating limited resources to the best possible opportunities
- Installing and maintaining all products in the users lab and operating room
- Finding areas to improve performance of the Technical Services Organization
- Providing pre-sales and after-sales technical support to the Sales and Clinical Team, either by telephone or on site
- Establishing and maintaining all service, support and installations procedures, manuals and technical documentation; supervising content and release of all technical documentation, e.g. technical notes, new products release notes, etc.
- Partnering with peers to ensure sharing of best practices, improvement opportunities, and performance results
- Following up on all service, support and installation procedures
- Supervising and handling users complaints and corrective action initiative and handling
- Responsible developing all employees within the department by supporting Human Resources Planning programs including management development and training to meet current and future business needs; developing and implementing technical training for the service engineers and the sales force

Profile

- At least a bachelor degree - a master degree is an asset - in a business or engineering discipline
- At least 10 years work experience
- Direct, relevant experience managing individuals and multidisciplinary cross-functional teams is essential
- Formal or on the job experience in business practices including budget management, project management and strategic planning
- Strong team player with excellent written and oral communication skills
- A demonstrated ability to influence at all levels
- Strong business acumen
- Strong leadership and management skills
