Function description

The Group IT Auditor is based in Brussels and reports to the IT Audit Manager.
As a member of the European Internal Audit team, he/she participates in the IT Audit processes across the European banners. He/she is responsible for the reviews of information systems and related controls and systems development projects, and provides the IT Audit Manager with reports of his/her observations and recommendations.

Key responsibilities
- Develop a detailed understanding of the activity under audit, including risks and controls. Assess risks and internal control strengths and weaknesses. Develop a written audit work program outlining the testing and audit evidence required to meet the audit objectives
- Execute the work outlined in the audit work program. Perform tests and analyses, gather audit evidence, evaluate results, and develop conclusions about the adequacy of internal controls. Document the work performed and conclusions in electronic workpapers. Work with integrated audit teams to execute IT audit steps
- Discuss results of audit tests and conclusions with auditees. Obtain agreement on the facts. Prepare observations and recommendations in draft audit reports
- Research best practices and professional trends to improve audit core competencies
- Assist the IT Audit Manager with participation in special projects by conducting specific and technical review/investigation activities. Represent Internal Audit on cross-functional process improvement teams and in meetings with senior management and external organizations.

Profile

- University degree
- Professional certification in internal auditing (CIA, CISA), or information security (CISSP, CISM) are considered a plus
- At least 2 years relevant experience in auditing, IT, or information security
- Strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities
- Excellent planning, project and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deal effectively with conflict and influence change
- Very good written and oral communication skills
- Fluent English, French and Dutch
- Working knowledge of CobiT and other industry standards relating to IT and risk assessment methods
- Good knowledge of at least one of the following : Technical System Infrastructure (Windows, AS/400, mainframe, Microsoft SQL, …); Networking (IP, WAN, LAN, Security, Firewalls, …); SAP R/3; IT processes (System development, IT operations, Security management, IT support, Incident management …)
- Ready for approximately 10-15% overnight travel
