ACCOUNTING CONSOLIDATION AND FINANCIAL REPORTING LEAD ANALYST (894.NG.col)

Function description

Based in the Corporate Support Office in Brussels, the Accounting Consolidation and Financial Reporting Lead Analyst will be a key driver of the consolidation team and the Group’s financial reporting effort. He/she will oversee the accounting consolidation process and provide direct support to the accounting, consolidation and financial reporting manager.

- Timely preparation of consolidated financial statements
- Prepare and review internal reports for management
- Preparation and review external reports, such as quarterly press releases, annual report, 20-F report
- Interact with the operating companies on complex accounting and reporting matters
- Identify new procedures and processes to optimize consolidation & reporting activities
- Detect and solve accounting issues and questions under IFRS
- Provide input and advice on optimization of accounting processes
- Provide guidance to the more junior team members
- Participate in IT / Financial Systems projects related to accounting and reporting
- Actively cooperate with other departments during closing process and other ad hoc projects
- Ad hoc projects such as bond offerings, purchase accounting, etc.
- Interact with internal and external auditors

Profile

- University degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
- Approximately 5 years of experience in an accounting, auditing or consolidation position
- Good understanding of consolidation and IFRS (practical experience is a strong asset)
- Eager to work in an international environment
- Fluent in English, French and Dutch
- Excellent documentation, organization, communication and analytical skills
- Ability to manage time and meet deadlines
- Experience in leading a small team
- Team player
