Java J2EE Architect

Gudrun-E.com is a web application development business for the real estate and insurance sector. We offer solutions and services for both the automotive sector and the real estate sector. We focus on the strong integration of Business Process Management and the support by a Workflow Runtime Engine which efficiently navigates all stakeholders through a process.

Function description

Based on a company technical strategy - defined by the discussion forum, the Java/J2EE Architect is responsible for the implementation of the technical architecture and the team assigned to him or her.
This means defining a technical strategy and design. Quality and ease of maintenance are very important. You also need to pay the necessary attention to good documentation and writing the required automatic tests.

Tasks

Specific responsibilities:
• Analysis and design of technical and functional software components.
• Ensuring the quality by designing enough (automatic) tests and writing the necessary documentation.
• Handling the questions and problems that are reported and the changes following the functional or technical analysis of the projects.
• You are responsible for the technical development and planning. You will give technical coaching and lead the development team.

Profile

For this varied position we are looking for candidates with:
• technical knowledge: Java, J2EE, XML, XSLT, JSP, RUP, UML, Hibernate, Velocity and Spring
• at least 5 years Java-J2EE experience
• experience with test-driven development
• knowledge of application servers (JBoss or WebSphere)
• knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server or DB2)
• knowledge of BPM engines (jBPM and WebSphere Workflow) is a bonus
• strong communication skills (with development teams and customers)

• people management and leadership qualities
