Today Mobitec is a constantly growing, healthy and stable Belgian family-owned business specialised in the production of high quality chairs, armchairs and tables. Mobitec focuses exclusively on professional customers: furniture shops and ‘collective’ markets (sales through project firms and prescribers such as interior architects). You will have strategic, operational and budget responsibility. Your main goal will be to build sustainable, gradual and profitable growth for Mobitec by securing the agreed budget. With your team you will expand business in existing countries and build new markets. You will actively analyze market trends and develop and implement new business strategies and market approaches. You will respect the different requirements within the individual markets and at the same time seek optimization through consistency, cohesion and synergies. The contract or project business will be an important focus area. You will spend a large part of your time exploring new sales opportunities in other European regions. You will approach interesting prospects, evaluate existing agents and optimize the local sales structure to fully exploit market potential. Your position within the company will be pivotal: a link between the company and the market, the managerial link between the internal and external departments, and the “moulding agent” between sales, marketing and the other internal divisions. You will allow your team the right level of autonomy while exercising a sufficient degree of control. You will closely monitor performance and make corrections if and where necessary. You will optimize the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of the sales efforts by maintaining, creating and applying clear processes. You will manage a team of some 20 internal and external sales people. You will consult with and report to the Managing Director. Mobitec is looking for a dynamic yet controlled and well balanced team player with at least a bachelor’s degree and a proven track record in sales and sales management. Experience in the sector is an advantage, but not an absolute requirement. Affinity with a creative environment, with sales decisions that are not taken exclusively on a purely rational basis and with international business will definitely help. Your colleagues praise your open mindedness, inspirational leadership, outstanding negotiating and influencing skills and integrity. You are a motivating, energetic team player with strong situational leadership skills who directs, coaches and develops his team in maximizing sales, margins and profit. Understanding of the business processes in a family business is an advantage. You are a strong and empathic communicator, fluent in German, English, French and preferably also in Dutch.
