Working directly with our sales teams, business consultants and customers, this role requires to present, define, discuss and build solutions that solve the customers’ issues and embeds D&B into their processes. The role will require supporting our medium to large solution sales from pre-sales through to closure, as well as managing all technical pre-sales requirements such as architectural overview, best practices, and workflow management design. Following a sucessful sale, execute the solution by teaming with other departments within the organization and implementing and delivering our D&B Products thus enabling our customers to decide with confidence.
1. Solution Definition: Work with senior members of the team to define a solution for our customers business needs & challenges. Provide a time line for implementation of D&B Products that can be implemented into the overall project plan to ensure that we are embedded into our customers’ processes.
2. Product Delivery: Work with other members of the team to install D&B products on customer sites. Manage the project plan so that our customers can get best use out of our products as soon as possible with the eventual closure of the project.
3. Customer Service: Log and take ownership of customer issues to ensure that they are escalated and addressed appropriately in order to achieve a high standard of customer satisfaction.
4. Product Acceptance: Work with other team members within the group and with the product delivery team to ensure that we deliver new products and solutions of a high quality that meet our customers’ requirements.
5. Sales Support: Work directly with the D&B sales teams to drive sales of D&B’s Value Added Products & Solutions. Being more technically complex you must posess excellent technical, and communication skills which enables you to understand our customers needs. You must be able to explain our value proposition, as well as bridge gaps between business and technical teams.
• Qualification (preferably a Degree) in Computer Science, Business Information Technology, or simlar technical discipline.
• Experience in software development, support or infrastructure support, with 2 or more of the following competencies. Java, jsp, COM, SQL, .NET
• Good understanding of multi-tier architecture, and web server technology would be an advantage (JRUN, Apache, IIS)
• Willing to get ‘hands on’ with technology for problem solving, creating demos, and proof of concept work.
• Excellent analytical and problem identification skills.
• Excellent knowledge of current and legacy technologies.
• Good, working understanding of project management skills & methodologies (advantageous).
• Excellent issue management skills.
• Strong oral/written communication skills.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Excellent relationship management skills.
• Self motivated, and willing to learn new skills as necessary.
• Good time management skills.
