Function description

To work within a team that creates and markets high value analytical solutions, primarily for our Risk Management and Sales and Marketing applications.
The role requires developing and delivering statistically derived predictive models including scoring and credit line assignments.
With direct contact with our customers, this role requires using mathematical techniques and analysis software for which the consultant will create business solutions that will enhance clients’ abilities to operate efficiently and effectively in dynamic business environments.

Tasks

1. Work closely with external customers to deliver custom analytic solutions. This will include giving presentations to major accounts, providing consultative support as well as the development of supporting documentation
2. Using certain software, the role requires the development and delivery of statistically derived predictive models including credit scoring (delinquency, default) and credit line assessment. This includes the evaluation of needs, selection of appropriate methodology, estimation of model.
3. Communication of complex analytical results in terms that are meaningful to business line managers. This includes documentation of project results and both internal/external presentations to customers on all levels.
4. Work with all management levels to identify and develop new products and services. This will be done through direct involvement in the sales process and extensive work directly with our customers
5. Enhancing existing analytics products and processes
6. Providing support to sales regarding analytics work and proposals, and produce work flow outlines / time budgets for basic/complex projects

Profile

• University degree in Econometrics/Statistics or related quantitive methods
• A strong analytical and procedural approach to work
• 2+ years experience in applying advanced statistical or quantitative techniques to business problems. Experience using large-scale datasets. Familiarity with statistical/analytical software packages for both mainframes and PCs.
• Knowledge and understanding of BASEL II requirements.
• SOX Compliancy regulations knowledge a plus
• Experience in project management
• Knowledge of SAS + SPSS analytical tool
• Ability to work on one’s own initiative as well as part of an international team
• Excellent Communication skills, including clear and concise scientific writing skills and the ability to explain complex issues to a broad range of audiences
• Ability to manage sales/customers relationships and expectations relating to each project and resolve any post production issues.
• The ability to work to deadlines and manage conflicting priorities
• Persistence, accuracy, task focused and result orientated
• A good command of both Dutch/French/English
