Function description

In your role as Technical Support Engineer (3rd Line) you play a hands-on role to support the technical delivery of customer as well as internal projects in cooperation with your colleagues and other IT-specialists, based on several technologies.

You are responsible for certain technical disciplines and architecture and provide technical documentation and knowledge transfer to all parties. You provide 2nd and 3rd line support on the solutions implemented and propose enhancements where appropriate. You will also assure the quality of the deliverables.

Some projects may require leading smaller project teams.

Profile

You have a bachelor degree in computer sciences and more than 5 year of experience in System Engineering and/or consultancy.
Flexibility, stress resistance, customer focus and being a team player are key.
You possess strong communication, documentation and presentation skills.
You adapt quickly to a new environment and like to interact with customers and suppliers.
You are eager to extend your current knowledge with market specific technologies.
You are able to lead a small project team.
You are proficient in Dutch and English.
You are willing to travel to customers in Belgium for assignments.
You are prepared to work in a standby "on call" system.

You have knowledge of and experience with

• Microsoft NT4/Windows 2000, Windows 2003 and Windows XP
• Microsoft applications such as, SQL Server, Internet Information Server, .NET server, XML Webservices.
• Linux (Red Hat)

Basic knowledge of Oracle and VMware are a plus.
