
You will provide tools and results for European marketing programs for the Proteomics, Genomics, Cell Culture and Global Chemicals products within the Biosciences division of Thermo Fisher Scientific. This will include CRM database integrity, sales analysis, marketing program scorecard, and return on investment. You will also drive implementation of the customer survey program, customer experience initiatives, reporting and analysis.
You will report directly to the Sr. European Marketing Communications Manager.
1. Sales Analysis - Proteomics business
a. Analyze sales figures to report effectiveness of marketing campaigns
b. Debrief at least monthly with sales director and appropriate sales
leads to review results and determine future activities
2. Marcom scorecard
a. Develop and maintain monthly marketing communications scorecard
b. Work with marcom and sales teams to set goals and obtain costs
cross all marketing programs including direct mail, trade shows,
emarketing, and others
c. Report results and Return on Investment
d. Work with sales and marcom team to assess whether or not
program should be repeated and what improvements need to be
made
e. Take the lead in coordinating with other BID marcom colleagues
(especially Genomics, Proteomics) to harmonize the scorecard into
one tool that is used globally (Q4).
3. Customer Relationship Management Database
a. Own the CRM system used for the regional efforts for Proteomics,
Genomics and Cell Culture (Maximizer), as well as Global Chemicals
(Siebel) (with Geel marketing assistant)
b. Maintain an updated profile of each database by country and interest
code as well as user preference for types of marketing
c. Be familiar with reporting capabilities of both Saleforce.com and
Siebel CRMs
d. Initiate and drive projects aimed at improving the quality of these
databases based on findings in analysis. Work together with marcom
team (Aalst) and marketing assistant (Geel) to ensure initiatives are
executed
e. Streamline and review all current processes/procedures and suggest
improvements where needed.
f. Work together with the local IT teams (Aalst and Geel) to standardize
naming conventions of the CRM with the ERP systems to ensure
alignment
g. Collaborate on the transition of Maximizer to Salesforce.com,
participating in preparation/planning calls, and ensuring specific
business needs /expectations are met
i. Participate in Salesforce.com training and become a super user
ii. Be familiar with reporting functionality for salesforce.com
h. Mentor Global Chemicals marketing assistant by directing work and
following up with bi-weekly meetings on Siebel Database
4. CARES Program
a. Be an advocate for the Proteomics and Cell Culture CARES
programs out of 2 locations (Aalst and Bonn), attending meetings
with the EU site leaders & stakeholders, generate enthusiasm and
understanding of the value of the program and implement all
initiatives launched by corporate
b. Train people on the online analysis & survey tool; be able to interpret
the customer scores and report to the senior management
c. Pro-actively lead the survey program on a monthly basis: help to
upload email customer addresses, screen and follow-up the
customer alerts, assure these actions are acted upon
d. Ensure CARES bulletin board is updated on a regular basis at the
Aalst site
5. List Management
a. Be the owner of customer lists used for marcom activities. Work
closely with EU marcom team to understand objectives for marcom
programs and recommend list to maximize results.
6. Ad Hoc Analyses
a. Work with Sr. Marcom Manager on other ad hoc analyses as needed
(could include budget analyses, etc.)
Ideally you have an economical degree, preferably with 3-4 years experience. You’re a passionate Excel-user: this MS-program has no secrets for you. Working knowledge of CRM systems SalesForce.com and familiarity with Maximizer and/or Siebel highly desirable Ideally familiar with Eloqua campaign management tool, or experience in leads nurturing. You demonstrate excellent communication skills, eye for detail and timely execution. You’re a strong team worker with a positive & pro-active attitude.
