Function description

Digital Chocolate, a leading international publisher and developer of original games is looking for a talented programmer to join the Sumea Studio in Helsinki. The open position offers an opportunity to participate in development of a new original social game title. The position is a central role in the company’s strategy. The game will be targeted to the web and iPhone platforms. The position allows the programmer to develop his/her skills in both server and client development.

Profile

An ideal candidate will have the following qualities and skills:

• Good knowledge of Java and Flash (AS 3.0) programming
• Experience in Servlets or other server side technologies
• Good written and spoken skills in English
• Formal software education
• Ability to identify and apply best practices
• Good teamwork skills

The following points are considered as a plus:

• Personal interest in social games
• C++ or other programming language experience
• Game demos with sample code
• Experience in usability and user interfaces
